OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier US financial marketplaces, is seeking an AVP, Linux Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team.

Please note OTC Markets is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely). This position is located in our NYC office.

Base compensation for this role is up to $140,000 depending on experience. In addition, the position is eligible for our discretionary annual bonus program and equity.

What you’ll do:
  • Administer and improve server configuration management platform hosted on Red Hat Satellite / Ansible Tower platforms.
  • Administer and troubleshoot systems issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Administer production and non-production, co-located and cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Administer, upgrade, and improve the server configuration management platform (Redhat Satellite and Redhat Ansible Tower)
  • Automate routine manual tasks.
  • Collaborate with Development and other IT teams to provision servers for new projects.
  • Manage servers, storage and backup infrastructure including kernel, patches, and driver updates.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and act as point-of-escalation for Linux-related incidents.
  • Respond to customer requests and tickets and manage a ticket queue.
  • Stay on top of new technologies and implement improvements to our technology stack.
  • Support non-production and production systems, hosting real time trading applications.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis. Support QA and development team test environments.
  • Additional responsibilities, as assigned.

What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting complex Linux, Storage and Backup infrastructure.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple teams.
  • Experience supporting Redhat 7/8 Operation Environments.
  • Experience supporting VMware 6.0 + platform.
  • Experience working with backup solutions (Veritas Netbackup preferred).
  • Experience working with Dell/EMC storage arrays (PowerStore, Data Domain, Unity, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools and infrastructure as code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
  • Scripting skills and experience in Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl.
