OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier US financial marketplaces, is looking for an experienced Public Relations professional to join our Marketing Team. The VP, Communications, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, plays a pivotal role within the team. This position is responsible for developing and executing the company’s global communication strategy, encompassing media relations, content creation, brand positioning, market visibility, and community engagement.


Please note OTC Markets is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely). This position is located in our NYC office.

Base compensation for this role is up to $175,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition, the position is eligible for our discretionary annual bonus program and equity.


What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the development and implementation of an external communications strategy that enhances OTC Markets Group’s reputation, fosters engagement, and drives conversations with external stakeholders and media.
  • Develop written content, including messaging, FAQs, blogs, Op-Eds, and other materials to promote our core business lines: Corporate Services, Market Data, and Trading Services.
  • Craft compelling media plans and tools, including press releases, media pitches, fact sheets, and talking points to support key initiatives.
  • Build a positive perception of our markets with the media while positioning the CEO and Senior Management as thought leaders in the financial markets’ ecosystem.
  • Manage global PR agency relationships and collaborate with key content providers.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with domestic and international press across print, broadcast, digital, and trade media.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel, including reputation management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on external stakeholder and issuer communications, including social media and multimedia campaigns.
  • Identify key media trends and proactively engage stakeholders.
  • Develop corporate narratives and PR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Author executive thought leadership content, including opinion pieces, newsletters, and blog posts.
  • Additional responsibilities, as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 8–10 years of experience in Public Relations or Media Relations within a corporate marketing team or PR agency, with proven experience managing public relations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and interact directly with the CEO and Senior Management.
  • Strong media relations skills with a demonstrated ability to secure positive coverage.
  • Expertise in social media as it relates to corporate communications and reputation management.
  • Deep knowledge of financial services, capital markets, and the investment community.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to use data and metrics to craft compelling pitches and inform decision-making.
  • Leadership presence and influence, with the ability to engage audiences and project subject matter expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort using data to support key messaging points.
